So what are you Thankful for?? Think I'll tag Shirley, Sass and Dawn and see what they are thankful for!!
Well I recently posted things that I was thankful for, during our Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, but I am going to share some other things with you all.
I am thankful that I have lived the life that I have and learned so much along the way. Sometimes I wish things could have been different, but I realize that all things happen for a reason, and I feel that I am a much stronger and more knowledgable person because of the way that things have happened.
I am thankful that I have great friends around me, both online and offline. They truly help to make my life a brighter, happier place.
I am thankful to have met and married someone that I truly believe is my soulmate and destiny. Although he can make me nuts at times, I can't imagine my life without him.
I am thankful that I had the parents I did. They have taught me so much and are the reason I am the person I am today! They taught us what TRUE love really was, and that money can not buy happiness......although it is a necessary evil at times.
I love them both so dearly! I MISS YOU MOM!!!
And I am thankful that I have 2 beautiful children, who have grown to be strong young men with goals and thoughts of their own. Although not everything they do makes me happy, I respect that they can stand on their own two feet and make decisions on their own, and also correct things when they are wrong!
Now, I will tag, Diana, Rachel and Charlee!

LEST WE FORGET
Tomorrow is Remembrance Day, a day of which we should all give our thanks to those who have fought for our freedom. Whether in the past or present, each and every soldier that has devoted their time to serve our country, we should always be thankful.
Please remember that it is because of the work that they do that we are able to live a life of such freedoms. Please remember that many of these soldiers did NOT come home. And please remember that we owe these veterans our utmost respect and honour.
Hold your head up high, and be proud to be a Canadian!
For me, I would personally like to take a moment to say THANK YOU.........to those soldiers that lost their lives, and to those that are still in the fight for freedom and peace.
I have many ancestors who served our country, many came home, and some did not. Tomorrow I will remember each and every one of them, along with those soldiers that are of no relation to me at all!
In Flanders Fields
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
John McCrae (1872-1918)

Digging Digi
Well with much persuasion over the past months, I finally decided that it was time to try my hand at some digital layouts.
Although Peggy and several others thought that this was something I should have tried my hand at a long time ago, I only really started because Dawn asked me to join her in a crop at DST.
The chat was BRING A FRIEND, and for attending you received the most amazing kit that was designed by the DST design team. This is what I used to get started with digi scrapping. THANK YOU to all those that created this marvelous kit...it truly is beautiful!
Although I can't see me going totally digital, I am loving the opportunity to play in my PSP program and see what I can do while I am just sitting in front of the computer and not playing with my paper.
Here are just a few of the layouts I have done....hope you enjoy!

I can SEE!!!!
Ok.....well not me, but my son!!!
Since he moved out of the house, he was finding that he was getting more headaches and his vision would get blurry after being on the computer for extended periods of time.
He has never had any problems with his eyes in the past, but I told him that it wasn't something to be delaying in getting checked out.
He got his appointment set up to have his eyes tested, and found out that he has Estigmatism in both of his eyes. No wonder he was having difficulties!
He sent me this new photo of himself......isn't he just so handsome? (although I did tell him he needed to shave)
I can't believe how much he has matured in his facial features in the short period of time since he moved out of the house. My boy is definitely a MAN now!!!!!
Baby, I am so proud of you!!! Keep up the great work honey...you are going places!
Be THANKFUL!
Last weekend was our Thanksgiving here in Canada. The weather was absolutely beautiful, that it was actually hard to believe that it was October. The weekend was full of all kinds of preparations, but I just love this time of year.
We usually try and get out and enjoy the sites, and visit the festivals in the area, when the weather allows it. This year, the weather was PERFECT and it really allowed us to get out and enjoy each other's time, and to reflect on all those things that we truly are thankful for.
I am so thankful for having the time with my family that I do. As the boys grow older, I find myself missing being with them and doing family things, but it also makes me thankful for those bits and pieces of time that we do get to spend time together.
I am thankful everyday for the love that I have found with Rob.
I am thankful for my sight. To view nature's beauty this time of year is something that brings me much joy.
I am thankful for knowing that God believes that I am strong, as he only let's things happen that he knows you are strong enough to endure. And I definitely have been tested as of late.
I am thankful that I have my father still with me, and that I get the pleasure of being with him every day. Together we are able to remember MOM and keep her memory alive.
I am thankful for all my friends, both online and off, who have ever been there to listen to me and were there to understand and support me.
Take a moment in your day and reflect about the little things that you are thankful for. You will feel sooooooo good afterwards. TRUST ME!!!

Been tagged AGAIN (by 2 different people) ;)
Well I have been tagged by both Dawn and Charlee....
Now I am suppose to tell you all 5 weird things about me, but gee, what constitutes as WEIRD????
1. I cut my pinky finger off and had to have it reattached--I didn't feel it and only wanted a bandaide to put on it, so I could finish washing dishes.
2. My right hand is constantly ice cold, no matter what time of year it is.
3. I don't drive.
4. I married someone that grew up a couple of blocks away from where I grew up, and yet we never met until we were older.
5. I need to sleep with a sheet on my shoulders no matter what time of year it is.....because my shoulders always get cold.
OK>.....now I have to see if there is anyone out there that I can tag.

Have to go and teach
Well, here we are, Thursday again, already!
It is so hard to believe that this week is just about over again. Where does the time go?
I have had a busy day of things here, but mostly I have been prepping for tonight's class. Punching pieces for a large class really can take a good chunk of your day away, but I don't mind.
I love being able to go up to the store and see the gals, have a laugh, and see how each page can turn out just a little bit different.
Tonight's class is Pumpkin Patch Punchart. (my own punchart creations)
Multiply that many pieces X15 for each gal in the class, and I tell you, you sure do lose a lot of time out of the day. But I am at least prepared, and everything is punched and bagged ready to go.
I thought I might actually get the chance to work on something for me, but that doesn't look like it is going to happen. I will just have to hope that tomorrow will leave me some ME time!

Hanging out
This time of year is always so nice for getting out and going for walks. This past weekend, Rob and I managed to get out and enjoy the weather. I just love going for a walk and seeing the colours changing on the trees, and watching the squirrels scampering through the park getting ready for the winter.
The sun was out, the air was crisp, but it was so wonderful to just be out and being together.
Here are some photos we took of our trip to the park! We just love to have fun!

Autumn Splendour
Well the fall season is upon us here in Ontario, and although it rains quite often during this season, I still love it. There is nothing more beautiful than the changing colour on the trees, the simple glory in the fall flowers in the garden, and the excitement of the Fall Fair's in the area.
This year I have yet to get out to enjoy these festivities, but I am hopeful that I will get there before they are all finished with. The chance to get out in the fresh air and see the animals, to smell the wonderful smells of apples, and to just enjoy some quality time with DH, gets my heart a flutter!
This weekend I am hoping to get out and pick some apples at a local apple orchard. I love the smell of apples, and the many things that one can do with them. Applesauce is a sure fire favourite here in the Haas household, but we love the smell and taste of the homemade apple pie too! Brings me back to the good ole days:)
Today I should be working on a class layout for Apple Orchards, but just don't seem to be motivated! Hopefully getting out to the orchard over the weekend, will spark some inspiration with me and help me to get this done. I will have to share with you once I get it done, but for now.....enjoy your day!

I have been tagged!!
I have been tagged!
So if I tagged you here is what you do
"List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether or not they have words, or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LiveJournal/blog along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they’re listening to.
So this is my 7 songs:
1. Have a nice day--Bon Jovi
2. Room Service--Bryan Adams
3. Up on the roof--The Nylons
4. Just Between you and me--April Wine
5. Acknowledge me--Prince
6. You'll be in my heart--Phil Collins
7. Truly Madly Deeply--Savage Garden
**I know.....mostly older songs....but I still love them all!
I haven't tagged anyone yet, because I am still trying to figure all of this out:)

My Scrap Space/Room....as promised
Well as you can tell, I have been having some problems with adding things to my blog and getting everything all sorted out, but please bare with me while I move onto this new adventure.
I recently changed my oldest son's room into my very own Scrapping Haven, and I would like to share this space with all of you here. It is a great, comforting place for me to go and get creative, and I certainly have gotten busy since the room was completed.
Here are a few photos....enjoy!

Not as DUMB as I LOOK
Well ok, I don't know why I was having such issues with adding my photos before, but I was able to manage it tonight!
Now I think I am going to try and get better at adding to this on a regular basis, and keeping you all posted to how things are going with me!
I hope that you will find some things here to inspire you and keep you interested enough to keep coming back!!!
Autumn is upon us here in Ontario, and I just love this time of year. I love being able to get out for walks in the cool, crisp air, and I love to decorate for the season. Here is a little bit of what my home looks like during this season.
Hoping this works this time

Where have I been and what have I been up to?
Well so much time has flown by, and so much has been keeping me busy, that I have not really found the proper time to sit and post in my blog since I started it.
I am going to try and change this and keep things updated here more often. So please bare with me.
This summer has been crazy around my house. DH was off of work for the full month of July, and we spent a lot of time together, going places and doing things around the house. Scrapping more or less took a back seat for me, except for when I had to design my classes for the LSS.
My oldest son moved out in mid July, and this, although was something we had been expecting, was still a shock to us. He had talked about it getting closer to the time he thought it was time to move out on his own and that he was going to start looking for a place. Well this all came quicker that any of us had thought. He called me on a Wednesday, from work, to tell me that he would be moving out in the morning. WOW.........imagine the shock on my face!
He moved out on good terms, but I was so not ready to have him go, especially like that. There was no time to get used to the idea of him not living here anymore, no time to prepare and have things all packed up properly. No planning what so ever.
The same day that he called to tell me he was moving out, he quit his job with Sunrise Records (which is a music store in the mall). I know, you are probably sitting there thinking to yourself that that wasn't the smartest move he could have made. :)
The reason he quit, was because that same evening, he had been given the opportunity to do Graphic Design for a company. The pay is better, the job, he loves, and he is much happier in his new position.
Things really started to fall into place and the timing was all so perfect for him. I am so very proud of him for staying focused and following his heart to do what he loves to do. WTG Baby!
So, now that he has moved out, I have taken over his room. I am now the proud owner of my very own SCRAPBOOK ROOM!!! Wooo Hoooooooo for me! It was a lot of work preparing the walls for painting, getting the painting done, moving all my stuff from the diningroom and setting it up in the room, but it was well worth the efforts and time that it took.
This new project with my room was lengthy, and it kept me from actually sitting down to scrapbook, but as you will be able to see, creating in this new atmosphere is going to be simply wonderful.
Take a peek and see my new space!

About ME
Well I am sitting here trying hard to learn how to get something posted on this blog, and well, so far, so good!
I guess this is as good a time as any to tell you all a little about myself, so here it goes. I am a PROUD CANADIAN gal who lives in Ontario. I am the mother of 2 young men, and they are for the most part the subjects of most of my layouts. I have been trying harder to get in the groove of scrapping myself more, as I am usually the one behind the camera, and the pictures of me are few. (which I am trying to change more and more as well) I am a teacher at my LSS (THE MEMORY KEEPER). I have been teaching classes for about 2 years now, and I tell you, I truly am loving it! I have had the best opporunities to get to know some wonderful gals, and have formed many friendships through the store. I am always looking forward to seeing what new things I can come up with for classes, and I hope that there is enough interest.
I was born and raised in Hamilton, and I can't really image myself calling anywhere else HOME.
This is a great city, with so much to offer.
I am a member of the Scrapbook Jungle where the gals are crazy, but harmless. This is such a great community that allows one to be themselves, that is full of lots of fun and inspiration and I am glad to have been welcomed there with open arms. THANKS GALS!!!
Well, I guess that just about covers things for tonight, but I hope to be able to share things often here, and hopefully I will get some of you out here to visit and learn more about me on a daily basis.
Thanks for stopping by!!!

Hello:)
Well I finally took the plunge into the world of blogging, but I hope that you will all be a little patient with me while I learn the ropes. I am eager to learn and be able to have a little piece of the web devoted to me and what I am up to.
As a scrapper, I love to share ideas, thoughts and my creations with others. I hope that as time goes by and I learn more about blogging, that I will be able to share some things with you here that will both motivate and inspire you.
